The dispatch services we provide, and how each works in practice.
Police, fire, and medical: three equal disciplines, one coordinated response. Every call is handled by a certified telecommunicator using nationally recognized protocols, and many calls involve more than one.
Police Dispatch
Direct communication and coordination with the Coosada Police Department for law enforcement emergencies and service calls.
What we handle
- Crimes in progress
- Traffic incidents
- Suspicious activity
- Welfare checks
- Disturbances
- Civil assists
Protocols
All police calls are run through Emergency Police Dispatch (EPD) protocols. Telecommunicators are APCO 7th Edition certified and trained for active shooter, domestic violence, and crisis situations.
Fire & Rescue Dispatch
Immediate dispatch for Coosada Fire/Rescue: fires, accidents, rescue operations, and licensed ambulance transport.
What we handle
- Structure fires
- Vehicle accidents
- Technical rescue
- Hazmat incidents
- Gas leaks
- Public assists
Protocols
All fire calls are run through Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD) protocols. Telecommunicators receive rural firefighting and hazardous materials training in addition to core certifications.
Emergency Medical Dispatch
EMD-certified telecommunicators provide protocol-driven pre-arrival medical instructions, including Telecommunicator CPR, while the licensed transport ambulance is en route.
Pre-arrival care includes
- Telecommunicator CPR
- Choking response
- Bleeding control
- Childbirth assist
- Overdose response
- Stroke and cardiac triage
Why it matters
The minutes between a 911 call and the arrival of responders are often the most consequential. Protocol-driven medical instruction, delivered calmly on the phone, saves lives.
Your agency can have this too.
Police, fire, and EMS dispatch under contract, handled by the same certified staff on the same protocols, usually for less than you pay now.
