Coosada Police

The Coosada 911 Communications District provides critical emergency dispatch and communication services for all Coosada Police Department operations. Our Emergency Police Dispatch (EPD) certified dispatchers handle 911 calls, process non-emergency calls for service, coordinate officer responses, and maintain continuous radio communication with Coosada Police officers in the field.

Our dispatchers serve as the vital link between the community and law enforcement, ensuring officers have the information they need to respond safely and effectively to every call.

Coosada Fire/Rescue

The Coosada 911 Communications District provides Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD) certified dispatch and communication services for all Coosada Fire/Rescue operations. Our dispatchers handle fire, rescue, and medical emergency calls, dispatch appropriate apparatus, and maintain communication with Coosada Fire/Rescue personnel throughout every incident.

Coosada Fire/Rescue operates its own licensed transport ambulance, giving the Town of Coosada a dedicated emergency medical response and patient transport capability dispatched directly through Coosada 911.

  • Structure fire, vehicle fire, and wildland fire dispatch
  • Motor vehicle accident and extrication dispatch

Emergency Medical Dispatch

The Coosada 911 Communications District provides Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) services for medical emergencies within the Town of Coosada. Our dispatchers are EMD-certified and trained in Telephone CPR (T-CPR), enabling them to provide callers with protocol-driven, life-saving pre-arrival instructions while Coosada Fire/Rescue's licensed transport ambulance is en route.

Coosada Fire/Rescue operates its own licensed transport ambulance, providing the community with a dedicated emergency medical response capability dispatched directly by Coosada 911.

Services include:

  • EMD protocol-based emergency medical call processing
  • Telephone CPR (T-CPR) instructions for cardiac arrest
  • Pre-arrival instructions for bleeding control, choking, childbirth, allergic reactions, and other medical emergencies
  • Coosada Fire/Rescue transport ambulance dispatch and coordination
  • Medical responder communication and scene coordination

24/7 Emergency Service

All emergency communication services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When you call 911 in the Town of Coosada, Alabama, our highly trained and certified dispatchers are ready to help and will dispatch Coosada Police, Coosada Fire/Rescue, or the Coosada Fire/Rescue transport ambulance as needed.

Our dispatchers are all APCO International APCO Telecommunicator 7th Edition trained and certified, with Emergency Police Dispatch, Emergency Fire Dispatch, Emergency Medical Dispatch with Telephone CPR certifications at a minimum. Many dispatchers also have advanced training in specialized areas such as active shooter response, crisis communications, suicide intervention, and more.
